Our approach
Useful work.
Honest limits.
SEO Fieldwork is an original, non-commercial educational publication for people who maintain small websites. It is not an SEO agency and it does not offer consulting services.

One reader, one useful task
These guides focus on practical foundations: explaining a page’s purpose, describing it accurately, connecting it to relevant pages and understanding search-visibility instructions. You should be able to use a guide without becoming a customer or creating an account.
The fictional pottery studio used in our examples is an editorial teaching device. It is not a client, a case study or evidence of ranking results. The publication is independent and is not affiliated with Google or any former business associated with this domain.
How this edition was made
This initial edition was written and implemented with AI assistance, using primary technical documentation and original worked examples. Technical checks exercise the site’s own routes and browser-side controls; they do not validate outcomes on a reader’s website.
No named expert author or reviewer is represented. Human editorial, concept and visual review remain pending. The material is general education, not an individualized SEO assessment. Search documentation can change, and an explanation here may not cover your platform’s particular behavior.
Primary sources, practical examples
Technical claims are based on the following Google Search Central documents, reviewed on October 8, 2026. We separate documented behavior from our own suggested worksheets and examples.
- Google Search Central: SEO Starter Guide
- Google Search Central: Influencing your title links
- Google Search Central: Control your snippets in search results
- Google Search Central: Link best practices
- Google Search Central: Creating helpful, reliable, people-first content
- Google Search Central: Block Search indexing with noindex
- Google Search Central: Introduction to robots.txt
Exact external source destinations are not yet approved for this edition, so document names are listed without outbound links. There are no affiliate or partner links. The learning path and tools provide their own reader value, rather than acting as a commercial directory.
What we will not promise
There is no SEO score here, no invented traffic result and no guarantee of indexing or ranking. A title or description draft is not a prediction of a Google search result. A checked box records your observation, not an automated inspection.
We do not inherit a previous operator’s name, logo, services, biography or business history. The identity presented here belongs to this new educational concept; it does not assert domain ownership or legal clearance. Publication and identity review are separate from local technical testing.
Start where you are
Read the beginner guide, choose a question in the guide library, or collect a draft in the workbench. There is no account, subscription or sales form.
